German Pre-CHI 2027

The German HCI community and its international collaborators are coming together once again for the Pre-CHI 2027 — this time in Darmstadt. The event brings together researchers from Germany and neighboring countries to present their accepted CHI 2027 papers, exchange ideas, and engage in constructive dialogue before the main conference. As always, it offers early-career researchers a valuable opportunity to experience the standard of work presented at CHI and to grow their networks across career stages. Whether you are a student or a senior researcher, everyone with a passion for HCI is warmly welcome.

Preliminary Program
The first day of the event takes place at TU Darmstadt (Hochschulstraße 1, 64289 Darmstadt), and the following days at Schader Stiftung (Goethestraße 2, 64285 Darmstadt).

Following the CHI acceptance notifications, authors of accepted papers from German HCI research groups will be invited to present their work at PreCHI.

German Pre-CHI 2027 is jointly organised by TU Darmstadt, primarily through its research groups PEASEC (Prof. Dr. Dr. Christian Reuter), HCI Lab (Prof. Dr. Jan Gugenheimer), Urban Interaction Lab (Prof. Dr. Florian Müller), and PIPS Lab, and the Schader-Stiftung.
